The following information pertains to RN graduates from HACC who are interested in pursuing the BSN program through Penn State.
Prerequisites: STAT 200, NURS 215, NURS 225, NURS 230, NURS 351: or Prerequisites STAT 200 and NURS 390 for NURN major
Nurs 351* – Health Assessment (usually offered spring semester)
Concurrent: NURS 215; Prerequisite NURS 111 and 112 (for Associate Degree Majors); or eligibility for NURN major
Nurs 390*- Transitions (usually offered summer, possibly spring semester)
Prerequisites: eligibility for NURN major
Nurs 457*- Informatics
Prerequisites: NURS 225, 310, 315, 320, and 331; or eligibility for NURN major
Nurs 417- Community Health Nursing
Prerequisites: NURS 390 and NURS 457 (or concurrent); and current and valid RN license
Nurs 418- Community Health Nursing
Prerequisites: NURS 200W, NURS 351, NURS 390, NURS 471USIL, NURS 457, NURS 465(or concurrent); and current and valid RN license
Nurs 465- Medical-Surgical Nursing
Prerequisites; NURS 390, NURS 457 (or concurrent), and current and valid RN license
*Eligibility for NURN refers to students who completed an associate degree in nursing from an accredited program but are not yet licensed.
Note: Nurs 417, 418 & 465 require RN license
