Itinerary

Day 1 Friday, March 7 DEPARTURE
Depart to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

Day 2 Saturday, March 8 PARIS
On arrival, transfer to your hotel located on the Grands Boulevards in the 9th district, by rue Montmartre. Start exploring your neighborhood: walk to the Opera, Madeleine Church, Place de la Concorde, and Place Vendome.

Day 3 Sunday, March 9 PARIS
See great aerial views of Paris from the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Also visit the Invalides, the Rodin Museum, and then walk down the Champs-Elysees.

Day 4 Monday, March 10 PARIS
Explore the districts of Le Marais, the Bastille, and the Place des Vosges before heading up to Montmartre, where you will find the Sacre-Coeur Cathedral, vineyards, the Montmarte Cemetery, and the Moulin Rouge.

Day 5 Tuesday, March 11 PARIS
Morning visit to the Orsay Museum before walking along the Seine River to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Spend the afternoon exploring the Latin Quarter: districts of St-Michel, Saint-Germain-des-Pres.

Day 6 Wednesday, March 12 PARIS
Enjoy a day in Versailles visiting the splendid Palace of Louis XIV and its gardens, the Grand and the Petit Trianon as well as the Hamlet of Marie Antoinette. Take the 8 metro line and transfer to the RER C towards Versailles Rive Gauche.

Day 7 Thursday, March 13 PARIS
Spend the morning in the Louvre, viewing the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Napoleon III’s Apartments. In the afternoon, gather any souvenirs you still want to buy and spend the day shopping and enjoying Paris.

Day 8 Friday, March 14 PARIS
Full day excursion to Chartres via the TER train from Paris. Visit the beautiful Cathedral, deemed a World Heritage Site for its history and magnificent stained glass windows; and end your visit by exploring the old city on foot before returning to Paris.

Day 9 Saturday, March 15 RETURN
Transfer to the Charles de Gaulle Airport for your return flight to the United States.

 

Terms & Conditions

Celestial Voyagers’ terms and conditions relate to contracts with airlines, hotels, and other suppliers. The regulations below must be strictly enforced as they are related to these contracts.

Deposit

$500 due upon reservation and preferably before November 8, 2013. Final payment no later than December 6, 2013. Airline seats may be available until February 5, 2014, however, after December 6, 2013, airfare may increase and an additional $100 late fee will apply + fare adjustment.

Credit card payments

You can pay online at our website. Please visit our site: www.celestialvoyagers.com and click on “PAY” at the top of the page.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be received in writing. The following penalties apply:

  • $150 nonrefundable processing fee.
  • Penalty of 50 percent of the trip cost for cancellations received between December 6, 2013, and January 20, 2014
  • Penalty of 100 percent of total price for cancellations received on or after January 21, 2014, or in case of no-show.
  • We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance as protection against these penalties. Please check with HTH Travel Insurance for plans and premiums.

Travel Insurance

All travelers on Penn State programs are required to purchase travel insurance through HTH Worldwide. Students will be sent enrollment information two weeks prior to departure. Non-students must purchase TravelGap or TripProtector from: http://www.hthtravelinsurance.com.
