How did your experience and education at Penn State York and the CAS program help you prepare and succeed in your professional life?
After sitting in many CAS classes and learning about the different aspects of
communication, I saw the challenges with communication in the real
world. I discovered during my education that I really enjoy working with people. I discovered during my education that I really enjoy working with people. Through an internship with the United Way, I was able to apply two theories to the work that I did as a Loaned Campaign Associate. The concepts were nonverbal messages and impression management in business meetings. This experience helped me to focus on how communication played a key role in business on a day to day basis.
